He started work as a Typist from 1982-1986 and rose to the rank of Personnel Assistant GD.1 at Federal Government Girls College Kazaure from 1990-1992 ; Secretarial Assistant Gd.1 at Special Services Directorate, Jigawa State Government House and High Court of Justice, Dutse from 1992-1994; Manager ,El-Zufa Computer Business & Training Centre ,Kano from 1994-1997 ; Confidential Secretary III Nigeria Television Authority, Kano from 1997-1999; Stenographer at Tropical Commercial Bank Plc, Kano(1999-2006); Executive Assistant Unity Bank Plc, Kano (2006-2009); Confidential Secretary Gd.1 Kazaure School of Health Technology, Kazaure( 2010-2015).In 2000, Kabiru went for a Performance Improvement Course for Secretaries in Kano; Management Course for Secretaries in 2001 in Kano ; He was also a Facilitator, Personal Computer Course for Secretaries in 2002 in Kano; Human Resource Manager Software Training in 2005 in Kano ; Internal Control Workshop in 2008 in Gombe; BANKS Software Training for Funds Transfer Officers in Yola in 2009; and Advance Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions in 2011 in Kano.
